Gun-wielding individuals have fatally shot an educator and kidnapped no fewer than 25 pupils in an raid targeting a female high school in the northwestern part of Nigeria, according to police.
The armed faction breached the Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School in Maga, Kebbi State at approximately 04:00 local time on the beginning of the work week, officials stated.
The assailants "engaged police personnel on duty in a shootout" before breaching the school's outer barrier and abducting the learners from their dormitory, according to a statement.
