Uche Fuels Dominant Palace Win at Shelbourne.
Despite entering their first-ever continental campaign, Oliver Glasner's side are learning at a rapid pace. Without star players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a commanding result that all but secures them a place in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
Another three points in their upcoming fixture against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to secure direct entry to the last 16, particularly after a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Grasp the Moment
This occasion provided a chance for several Palace's fringe talent to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after joining on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a clinical finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, scoring for the second consecutive match.
The Shelbourne team that had concluded their domestic season were outmatched against a largely rotated Palace outfit. The Londoners were already depleted by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are sidelined with leg problems.

In spite of heavy rain in Dublin, Palace quickly took control. A slick move in the 11th minute, initiated by Daichi Kamada's clever pass, let Nketiah to lay on Uche for a simple finish.
Midfielder Adam Wharton went close soon after, fizzing a powerful shot over the bar. Nketiah subsequently appealed for a penalty after bursting into the box, but the referee dismissed the appeals.
Ex-Arsenal man did not have wait long to find his goal, tapping home from close range after Uche's shot had struck the post.
Shelbourne were clinging on for dear life. Defender Kameron Ledwidge was fortunate to avoid a booking for two robust challenges on Yeremy Pino, before Chris Richards struck the woodwork with a powerful header from a corner.
Pino Seals the Game
The contest was effectively over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past a series of weak challenges before coolly dispatching a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw several individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring his first touch, but saw his effort blocked.
Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then missed a glaring chance, indicating there is still scope for development in his game.
The only worry for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect evening for the visiting side.
